Hi, built this timer-flasher many times with a NE, always worked. Put a LM in its place and works perfectly. Never had to do this before, but put a 0. I thought NE and LM were interchangeable.

LM Dual Timer. March Dual Timer. General Description. The LM Dual timing circuit is a highly stable controller ca- pable of producing accurate time delays or oscillation.

The is a dual Timing is provided by an external resistor and capacitor for each timing function. The two timers oper- ate independently of each other sharing only V C C and ground. The circuits may be triggered and reset on falling waveforms. The output structures may sink or source. Timing from microseconds through hours. Operates in both astable and monostable modes. Replaces two timers. Adjustable duty cycle. Output can source or sink mA. Output and supply TTL compatible. Temperature stability better than 0.

Similar to the LM IC , LM can also be used for all those applications additionally, since this works with CMOS technology, we can have two timers inside a single package with improved characteristics. Open collector output which discharges a capacitor between intervals in phase with output. The 6 I amplitude of the voltage applied to this terminal is responsible for the set state of the flip-flop. Controls the threshold and trigger levels. It determines the pulse width of the output 5 Voltage I waveform.
