The Cyberoam 50ia appliance is more than a usual UTM. This appliance brings together UTM features — such as firewall, IPS, anti-virus, anti-spyware, anti-spam, content filtering and SSL VPN — but also includes extra features, such as application control and data leakage prevention. We found this appliance to be very easy to deploy. The initial deployment consists of connecting it to the network and accessing the web-based interface from a network computer. At first login, this interface launches an initial setup wizard that guides the admin through not only setting up network configuration, but also through setting up a base policy. After the setup wizard is complete, the appliance reboots and advanced configuration can be done from the web GUI. We found the web GUI to be quite intuitive and easy to navigate around in.
